Stay calm and throw clay! This class is for students with little to no ceramic experience, or those who would like to advance their skills on the potter’s wheel. In this 8-week class, hands-on instruction will include wedging, centering, throwing basic forms, trimming and glazing. As time permits, intermediate techniques such as handling, lidded and altered forms, and surface decoration will also be covered. Students will leave class with their very own handmade functional art pieces!

What’s Included in Your Tuition:

  • 25 lbs of Premium Clay: Your first bag of clay is ready and waiting for you on day one.

  • All-Inclusive Studio Access: Full use of community studio tools, house-formulated glazes, and all kiln firings are covered.

  • Complimentary Open Studio Time: Take advantage of designated, non-instructional open studio hours throughout the week. It’s the perfect opportunity to practice the techniques learned in class, troubleshoot forms, and connect with fellow makers in our creative community.

Note: Additional clay, specialty glazes, and extra firings are available for purchase. Material pricing and studio guidelines will be thoroughly reviewed during our first class session.
