Under the guidance of professional local artists, you will learn to throw functional forms like bowls, mugs, and lidded vessels all while mastering the fundamentals of wheel throwing, trimming, surface decoration, and glazing. TEEN Saturday Morning Wheel Throwing

Class Days: Saturday (8 week session)
Class Time: 10:00 am - 12:00pm

Level: Teens (Ages: 12-16), All Levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced

Do you love playing in the mud? Make “mess” into a masterpiece by joining us for an 8-week-long pottery course to master your pottery skills. Learn the basics of wheel throwing, trimming, and glazing. Create handmade functional pottery, experiment with various glazes, and learn about safety in the ceramics studio. Students will leave class with finished pieces to share with family and friends. Be ready to get messy!

Whether you’re looking to sink your hands into clay for the very first time or you're an experienced Richmond potter looking to refine your unique style, our all-levels wheel throwing class offers a welcoming, creative space to grow.

Conveniently located in Midlothian, our comprehensive multi-week ceramics course covers the foundational methods of throwing on the potter's wheel, trimming, surface decoration, and studio glazing techniques. We will explore creating classic functional forms like handmade bowls, mugs, and lidded vessels.
